Our earth friendly dog product reviews can help you make smarter choices for your dog and for the environment. For our reviews, we read labels and our Chief Testing Officer extensively test products by subjecting them to some of the most realistic and rigorous product testing protocols. We have a preference for products that are recyclable, have been made with recycled materials and are free of flame-retardants or other toxic chemicals that can be unsafe for your dog.

We want our dogs to have fun and are aware that sometimes a product cannot be 100% eco friendly and be functional or durable at the same time, but we certainly search for the best options in each category.

About our earth friendly ranking

In recommending products we ask:

• Is the product safe for our dogs?
• What are the materials used in the manufacturing process? 
• Can the product be recycled in some way?
• Is the manufacturer a company with a strong commitment to the environment and adheres to fair trade and quality standards?
