MEXIPOLLOCK PLAYS CHORDS (LINK)
A simple MIDI Chord interpreter generated by Claude.

Requires Chrome or Edge browser.

1  Chord History
(last 20) Every new chord you play is automatically captured in a scrollable table showing the chord name, individual notes played,
estimated tempo in BPM (calculated from the time between chord changes), average velocity, and the timestamp.
The history updates live as you play.

2  Export Options
Three export buttons appear below the history:

  • Save as MIDI — generates a real, standards-compliant .mid file with your chord progression at the correct tempo, ready to open in any DAW (GarageBand, Logic, Ableton, etc.)

  • Save as Text — downloads a formatted .txt file with all chord/note/tempo/velocity data

  • Copy to Clipboard — pastes the same text so you can drop it anywhere

3  Quartal Harmony Transform -
The Quartal Transform button opens a panel showing every chord in your history reharmonised:

  • Sus2 / sus4 chords are converted to pure stacked perfect 4ths (R·P4·b7·11) — the most idiomatic quartal voicing

  • Major chords become Lydian quartal clusters (R·P4·M7·M10, no 3rd)

  • Minor chords become quartal minor (R·P4·m7·m11)

  • Dominant 7 chords become 9sus4 quartal shapes

  • Each row shows the original chord, the arrow, the quartal name, and the reason for the transformation

  • From that panel you can also export the quartal version as its own MIDI file or text file.
